Alex is responsible for all operational matters at x.ai, which includes our Contact Center and Ai Trainers, Engineering and Science groups. He has over fifteen years of experience in data analytics, software development and product management. Alex was a VP of Engineering at Outbrain after it acquired the company he co-founded, Visual Revenue. Earlier in his career, as an engineer at Lockheed Martin, he built software for unmanned aerial vehicle and radio/wireless signal processing. Alex received his MBA from Columbia Business School. He also holds a MS and BS degree in Electrical Engineering. Zerg is his preferred race at Starcraft II.
Will Murphy is the Co-Founder/ VP of Business Development at Talla, where he was originally the VP of Product. Previously, he was a Principal and corporate entrepreneur within FedEx Innovation, where he led new emerging tech venture development initiatives. He was a co-founder of SenseAware, an Internet of Things (IoT) platform, which was later operationalized by FedEx. He has led initiatives concerning big data, applied AI, e-commerce, the collaborative economy, and sustainable technologies.
Sarah’s mission is to partner with founders to productize disruptive ideas, get advantaged distribution, and build dominant businesses. Sarah is interested in almost everything where technology can be used as a weapon to get us to the future, faster. She spends a lot of her time thinking about opportunities in B2B applications and infrastructure, cyber security, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and healthcare.
Nepal Entrepreneurs’ Hub Spark Talk & Meetups 11 took place at Rooster Logic Pvt. Ltd, Gairidhara, Kathmandu. A live streaming event took place from the other side of the world. MIT VLab were hosting a discussion on the future of AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) were the key panelists were Alex Poon, Will Murphy, Jeremy Goldberg, and Sarah Guo, moderated by Mohamed Musbah, VP of Product, Maluuba. Quite a number of enthusiastic entrepreneurs showed up for the event here which took place at around 6:30 in the morning. After a slight delay, the live streaming took place with the participants eager to listen and learn what the experts had to say. A short discussion took place afterwards along with coffee and cookies.
